Bitcoin price stability creates lucrative setups in TON, XMR, MNT and QNT

Image
Bitcoin price holding $26,000 could open up some bullish trading opportunities in TON, XMR, MNT and QNT. Bitcoin (BTC) has gone silent over the weekend. CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju said in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter) that Bitcoin’s velocity has declined to a 3-year low. He said this could either be considered positive as whales were holding on to their positions or negative because the transfer to new investors was not happening. The range-bound action continues to perplex investors about the next possible trending move. In that regard, there was a positive commentary from JPMorgan analysts who said that Bitcoin’s downtrend could be ending. They believe that the declining open interest in Bitcoin futures contracts on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange suggests that the long liquidation is over. Crypto market data daily view. BTC price can reach $34K as Bitcoin faces support 'kiss' — QCP Capital

Image
Bitcoin lacks major volatility catalysts, but a classic support bounce could spark the return of the highest BTC prices in over a year, analysis predicts. Bitcoin (BTC) may be weeks from a “sharo rally” toward $34,000, trading platform QCP Capital believes. In its latest market update released on Aug. 15, analysts said that the coming weeks include a key decision point for BTC price action. BTC price due September "termination point" With Bitcoin still rangebound after months of indecisive behavior, market observers are keen to predict the return of some sort of market trend. For QCP Capital, September is the key month in the calendar, thanks to BTC/USD completing a rising wedge construction which began during the end of the 2022 bear market. “On the charts, the wedge pattern that BTC has been trading in since its 15k lows reaches its first termination point at the start of Sep,” part of the update explained. QCP noted that the specific area of interest was $29,300 — exactl...

3 reasons why Bitcoin's price is primed to hold the $30,000 level as support

Image
Bitcoin price has been showing weakness near the $30,000 level, but multiple data points highlight the fact that bears remain at a disadvantage. Bitcoin (BTC) price gave back some of its recent gains this week, but multiple data points suggest that $30,000 should hold as support going forward. Bitcoin remained within a narrow 4.3% range for the 15 days leading up to July 7. Despite the proximity of the $29,895 to $31,165 range, investors' sentiment was significantly impacted by an unsuccessful attempt to break above $31,400 on July 6. Trader’s tendency to overreact to short-term price movements rather than Bitcoin's year-to-date gains of 82% could be part of the reason for the short-term correction This same rationale applies to the events related to other cryptocurrencies. At the front of investors' minds are questions about whether the recent price gains were solely driven by multiple spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) requests. Other pressing developments inclu...

Bitcoin hits new yearly highs as BTC price rebounds to $31.5K

Bitcoin bulls are stampeding past the top of the range, but there is already a risk that BTC price is forming a "predatory range." Bitcoin (BTC) reached new 2023 highs on July 6 as a fresh bounce off key support buoyed bulls. BTC/USD 1-day chart. Source: TradingView Bitcoin analyst warns of "predatory range" Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed BTC price action surging through the top of its recent trading range. Analysts had previously reckoned on the largest cryptocurrency dropping further, potentially reaching $28,000 to offer a classic “buy the dip” opportunity. With momentum headed back upward, Michaël van de Poppe, founder and CEO of trading firm Eight, was optimistic. “I hope your long entries are filled on Bitcoin. Looks quite decent here, and I think we'll slowly continue grinding to the upside,” he told Twitter followers. “- Breaking & Flipping $30.8K shall result into fast upwards momentum. - Retesting $30.3K would be equa...

OOKI price plummets despite the market-wide bull run

Image
With its native governance token, OOKI, down by 95% from its all-time high (ATH), Ooki Protocol has struggled since its creation in late 2021. Since November last year, the Ooki DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) has dealt with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in a legal battle. The regulator claimed that the DAO offered unregistered commodities while in the belief that decentralized institutions wouldn’t face legal effects. The US CFTC eventually won the legal case against Ooki DAO that the trading platform operated illegally in the US. BTC price up, fundamentals down? 5 things to know in Bitcoin this week

Image
Bitcoin begins an "important" week for BTC price performance with $30,000 still intact at the weekly close. Bitcoin (BTC) starts a new week in a solid position above $30,000 after its latest rapid gains. BTC price action continues to deliver on bulls’ expectations after weeks of sideways trading offered little relief. Can it continue? That is the question on every trader’s mind this week — $30,000 held into the weekly close and beyond, but in a volatile crypto market, anything can and does happen. The macroeconomic climate is somewhat “standard” for the final week of June, offering some potential risk asset price catalysts but avoiding several major data releases at once. The weekend’s news out of Russia appears to have had little impact on market performance elsewhere, having mostly concluded before the start of the week’s trading. Turning to Bitcoin itself, a phase of taking stock appears to be here, with fundamentals conversely primed to shift down from all-time highs. S...

Why is BNB price up today?

Image
BNB price has rebounded more than 10% from its six-month low of $220 as short traders were squeezed alongside rising open interest. The price of BNB (BNB) is up around 3% today, in part due to bearish traders opening more BNB-tied contracts despite suffering losses via liquidations in the past 24 hours. In addition, BNB stands extremely "oversold," which may have prompted traders to buy the dip. BNB price bounces after being "oversold"  On June 14, BNB price climbed nearly 4% to $253. The gains came as a part of a recovery that saw its price rebounding 12% two days after falling to a six-month low of $220. From a technical perspective, BNB's rise on June 14 came on the heels of its "oversold" status. Notably, the daily relative strength index (RSI) dropped to around 16.6 two days ago, its lowest reading since March 2020. BNB/USD daily price chart. Bitcoin price hits $27.2K, but new analysis warns more losses 'likely'

Image
Bitcoin may be up 7.5% since Friday, but BTC price action is not giving everyone cause for positivity. Bitcoin (BTC) sought to recover $27,000 into the May 14 weekly close as volatility picked up out of hours. BTC/USD 1-hour candle chart (Bitstamp). Source: TradingView BTC price gains over 7% in two days Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed BTC/USD spiking to $27,200 on Bitstamp. Its highest in several days, the performance reflected gains of around 7.5% versus local lows from the week’s final Wall Street trading session. “Strong movements on Bitcoin as it swept all the lows in recent moves and grinds back up to $27.2K,” an optimistic Michaël van de Poppe, founder and CEO of trading firm Eight, reacted. “Patience, as flipping $27.2K is the first serious trigger for continuation upwards. In that case, close to a temporary bottom & potentially new highs to $36-42K still possible.” BTC/USD annotated chart. Source: Michaël van de Poppe/ Twitter Popular trader Daa...

Ethereum price action and derivatives data confirm that bears are currently in control

Image
Investors are unwilling to add long positions as the Shanghai Fork is expected to unlock a significant amount of ETH over a short period. The price of Ether (ETH) declined 6% between March 2-3, followed by a tight range trading near $1,560. Still, analyzing a wider time frame provides no clear trend, as its chart can point to a descending channel or a slightly longer seven-week bullish pattern. Ether (ETH) price index in USD, 1-day. Source: TradingView Ether's recent lack of volatility can be partially explained by the upcoming Shanghai hard fork, an implementation aimed at allowing ETH staking withdrawals. Those participants were each required to lock 32 ETH staked on the Beacon Chain to support the network consensus protocol. After a series of delays, typical for changes in the production environment, the Shanghai Capella upgrade — also known as Shapella — is expected for early April, according to Ethereum core developer and project coordinator Tim Beiko. China's only public blockchain Conflux sees CFX price skyrocket 1300% in 2023

Image
Social media metrics show strong retail investor sentiment behind the ongoing CFX price rally. Conflux Network (CFX) is up nearly 500% in the past week with CFX emerging as one of the best-performing crypto assets in 2023 as China appears to be warming to cryptocurrency trading.  What is Conflux Network? Interestingly, Conflux Network, also known as Shanghai Tree-Graph Blockchain Research Institute, is the only regulatory-compliant, public and permissionless blockchain in China. Conflux is a layer-1 blockchain operating on a hybrid proof-of-work and proof-of-stake mechanism. CFX's price has rallied nearly 1,335% year-to-date (YTD) to reach $0.3254 as of Feb. 24, its highest level in fourteen months. In comparison, the combined market capitalization of crypto assets has surged approximately 45% YTD. CFX/USD daily price chart. Source: TradingView Why is Conflux Network price rallying? 3 signs Axie Infinity price risks giving up its 135% gains in January

Image
AXS price has formed a "gravestone" doji on its daily chart that coupled with its recent token unlock event hint at a potential bearish reversal ahead. Axie Infinity (AXS) has rallied 135% month-to-date to reach approximately $14 on Jan. 23, its highest level in two months. Nonetheless, the AXS/USD pair could suffer major losses in the coming weeks owing to a flurry of negative technical and fundamental indicators. Axie Infinity price prints "gravestone" doji The AXS price formed a "gravestone doji" candlestick on Jan. 23, which technical analysts view as a bearish reversal pattern. A gravestone doji appears when an asset's opening, closing, and the lowest price comes to be nearly identical except for the highest price, as shown in the chart below. The long upper wick shows that the bears pared all of the gains printed by the candle during the given session. AXS/USD daily price chart featuring gravestone doji. Ethereum price rally under question after ETH slams into resistance at $1.6K

Image
ETH price continues to encounter resistance at the $1,600 level, a potential sign that the current rally lacks sustainable momentum. Ethereum (ETH) price is struggling to overcome resistance at $1,600 and this is the altcoin’s third attempt since September 2022. Some would say the 33% year-to-date rally could be interpreted as a failed opportunity to breach the $200 billion market capitalization mark.  Ether/USD price index, 2-day. Source: TradingView If Ethereum price were to break above $1,600, it would return Ether to a top-60 global tradable asset, surpassing giant multinational companies like Nike (NKE), Novartis (NVS), Cisco (CSCO) and Toyota (TM). Unfortunately, at least for bullish traders, derivatives markets are not hinting that Ether will finally break the $1,600 resistance — at least, not until the U.S. Federal Reserve reverses its course of tightening the economy. Bulls' frustrations can partially be explained by Silvergate Bank's $1 billion net loss in the latest...

'To the moon' or 'total crash'? Bitcoin price hits new 4-month highs

Image
BTC price action is still splitting consensus regarding whether Bitcoin will continue higher — what do you think? Bitcoin (BTC) spiked higher around the Jan. 17 Wall Street open as nervous analysts waited for further cues. BTC/USD 1-hour candle chart (Bitstamp). Source: TradingView Opinions diverge over Bitcoin's fate Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed BTC/USD briefly touching $21,594 on Bitstamp, marking its highest since Sep. 13. As bullish impulses continued to hit the chart, reactions stayed conservative amid an atmosphere of suspicion over the true source of Bitcoin’s return to form. One such cautious take came from Michaël van de Poppe, founder and CEO of trading firm Eight, who eyed behavior around a key exponential moving average (EMA) across crypto. “Food for thought; Total market capitalization and the altcoin market capitalization are both at the 200-day EMA's, while Bitcoin is barely breaking it without any volume,” he noted. “Markets are bo...
