According to Albacore, the new web3 wallet is in a limited test phase and is currently available to Microsoft Edge Channel users. While commenting about the web3 wallet during an onboarding process, Microsoft remarked:

Microsoft Edge Crypto Wallet Overview

Microsoft has partnered with Consensys, the leading software company that develops decentralized solutions on the Ethereum blockchain, to launch a new crypto wallet. Similar to other crypto wallets, Microsoft Edge’s Crypto Wallet will support multiple Ethereum accounts.

Furthermore, the Microsoft Edge crypto wallet will feature strong security Features, including an alphanumeric password and QR scan functionality. The wallet will require users to provide a strong 12-word recovery phrase if they forget their password.

The new wallet will allow users to swap Ethereum, Dai Stablecoin, Uniswap, USD Coin, Tether Coin, and NFTs. Microsoft Edge Crypto Wallet will feature a news feed option on the dashboard, allowing users to track the latest news in NFT and Crypto.

In the meantime, Microsoft encourages crypto users to test its first Web3 wallet and provide candid feedback along the journey. The first testers will have an opportunity to shape their foray into cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
